WARRANTY(Right-click anywhere on the form to print this for your own records.) Designer Braai & fireplaces (DBF) warrants the firebox of the fireplace against faulty workmanship or material under normal use for a period of 20 years from the date of purchase.Only selected rust free 3mm hot rolled steel sheets are used to manufacture. If correctly installed it will not smoke or leak. (NOTE :Cross draft/wind can cause smoke) The firebox is specifically but not exclusively guaranteed against warping under normal use. (Normal use implies that the fire must be made in the amber maker of build-in braais and in the grate of fireplaces.) This warranty covers the log pan, ash pan ,grate or any other replaceable parts of the unit for a period of 3 months. Any braai or fireplace needs care throughout its lifetime, and regular painting and maintenance is essential to keep this warranty valid. It is very important to grease the cowl and paint the outside regularly. Damage caused by rust as the result of adverse conditions, misuse or water leakage is not covered in this warranty. Damage caused at the time of installation or due to incorrect installation is not covered by this warranty. (NOTE : Allow for expansion) Any defect that is covered by this warranty will be inspected by DBF, and if in their discretion, it will be considered for repair or replacement. Their opinion is final and binding. Under no circumstances will DBF be liable for any consequential loss or damage arising from or in connection with the use or operation of DBF products. INSTALLATION GUARANTEEDIFFERENT OPTIONS OF GUARANTEE ARE AVAILABLE: OPTION ONE: LEAD SEAL Guaranteed for 36 months ( 3 seasons) Water check 500mm above and 300mm on sides and below flue Lead flashing 700mm x 700mm or 900mm x 900mm Membrane seal OPTION TWO: MEMBRANE Duramesh membrane sealed 500mm above and 200mm on sides and below Guaranteed for six months (1 season) CONDITIONS OF GUARANTEE : Due to color constraints we cannot always match the color of your roof. Existing leaks that are protected by plastic in roofs do not fall under our guarantee. Water check 500mm on all sides of the flue. Repairs under guarantee are at our costs. MAINTENANCE: We also offer maintenance on existing fireplaces, Braai's and Gas Installations. WHAT IT ENTAILS: Painting of outside ( FLUE and BODY) Painting of flue and cowl on roof.
